Preserving the Jewels of Islaamic Knowledge

Its 2008! … and Tayybah’s taking Almaghrib to places its never gone before… to Queens! … and by the looks of it to new heights as well! …That’s right we broke 300 for the first time ever, watch out everyone, looks like Tayybah’s hitting the big leagues, Alhamdulillah!

Rules of Engagement: Islamic Code of Ethics, coming to NYC at the height of the Giants and Patriots SuperBowl brought along with it its own unique excitement and energy felt by all the students and the instructor as well. Shaykh Mohammad Ibn Faqih won the hearts of Tayybah on his very first visit, as he imparted pearls of wisdom, and priceless gems on akhlaq and adaab in his soft and pleasant manner.

A strong sense of akhuwa pervaded the atmosphere as the students strove to implement these lessons, writing letters to their Muslim brothers in prison while incorporating 5 minute shoulder massage breaks into the day, and spending the first 10 minutes of their lunch break to check in and make sure their parents were happy with them. Shaykh Mohammad left Qabeelat Tayybah with poignant moments we still reminisce about today, declaring Tayybah to be the Iciest and announcing that the GIANTS were behind his comeback, Alhamdulillah!

Memorable Moment

After trekking through the rain, a jam packed auditorium falls silent as Shaykh Mohammad takes the podium…

“I want to start off by saying I’m not a gangster, although I may possess the physical characteristics nor am I dude although I’m from Southern California..”
